Chili Fest 2012 - Report - Results - Heavy PRON

great job!!!

any pro results?

Nope. If I could find a pro chili cook comp that I could qualify for, I'd love to do it. As I understand it, no beans are allowed and generally teams cut tri-tip into 1/4" cubes for the meat.

Congrats on the chili.
I look forward to giving your recipe a try.
How large of a batch will the recipe version 1 make?
How long do you get to prepare the chili at the contest?
Are you allowed to make the chili the night before and reheat or is this from scratch on site?

At the contest, we had from 9am to 12pm to cook the chili. We had to cook it onsite and couldn't have anything precooked.

The version 1 recipe will cook about 4 quarts. It's enough to fill my crock pot.
