I have a Chargriller with an offset fire box. I am looking to seal the input between the box & the cooking chamber for heat control as well as for smoke control. Has anyone used any heat resistant tape as a sealer or any other ideas to act as a seal?

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

The CG leaks like a sieve just as a result of how it's constructed, however I have never had a problem with mine leaking between the MC and SFB. Is the SFB installed level or did the MC side that connects to the SFB get bent when the "football" was knocked out?

Make sure the MC wall that the SFB is installed on is straight without any bends or warps. Also, the standoffs that came with my SFB were too long. I had to cut a portion of them off to make the SFB sit level and tight against the MC.
