Im in norfolk for business and was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a bbq joint to try out here. Yelps top hit was applebees.

It's no-frills. It's not a destination. It's not something I write home to Mom about... but it's good.

More of an Eastern NC flare than otherwise.

Pierce's is probably the most iconic in the area. It's right off the highway near Williamsburg. County BBQ also is highly recommended by locals. I've had both, but it's been a few years.
