Wood suppliers

Well, seems all my local HD's and Lowe's (southern california) no longer carry chunk hickory. Sales people at 3 locations all told me they were on clearance, now sold out, and not getting any new shipments. What the fark?

So, if anyone has any good sources for hardwoods, please post them.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Dammit - what kills me is that no one here caught wind of the clearance so that we can all clean them out.
