Get a keg, invite some friends over and have a bonfire. That's about all brad pear wood is good for.

It's poisoned. As soon as it's done, pack that venison up in dry ice and send it to me for scientific analysis.

Thanks for this link. I had to cut down our old crab apple tree a few months ago. It's drying now. I figured it would be good but it's nice to know for sure.

I learned from Noskos that if you can eat the fruit of the tree the wood is good for smoking your food.
