Wife insisted because I advertised cowboy steak

Went to sams thinking about a cowboy steak, and after lookin at the $18-20 packages of wings, was just gonna get some strip steaks and be done with it.
Filet snob wife said, “you advertised cowboy steak, we’re having cowboy steak”.

I ended up 5* over because I have a bad habit of letting her talk to me when the meat is almost done.

It was still nice and tender. Some left over for breakfast.

2.8 lbs rubbed with Two Pig Mafia steak seasoning.

It took about an hour and 10 mins total on the Weber 22 over Members Mark hardwood charcoal and two pieces of mesquite. Wife made parm garlic potatoes.

funny they put a picture of a real cowboy steak and then give you little to no handle. i saw a $40 cowboy at kroger and it was just one steak.

Yeah I’ve used them 5 times now for steaks salmon and burgers and I love em. I even bought a set for my Weber Smokey Joe and they custom fit too.

I just got a set that's made for my new Weber Go Anywhere grill, I'm sure it will kick *ss.
