When to rub PB Burnt Ends

Does anybody rub their pork belly burnt ends the night before they cook them. Doing some tomorrow morning and wonder if its advisable to give them a light rub
tonight and refrigerate and finish in the morning or just wait and rub them about an hour before they go on the cooker? Thanks!

I don't think there really is a wrong or right way. I like to cube mine up before I put them in the smoke. I apply the rub while the pit is coming up to temp.
