Using a generator at a KCBS comp

So my 80 year old mother is coming with me to a competition (she could drink most of you under the table :razz. The only issue is with us sleeping in a tent, I don't want her getting cold at night. I also don't want to disturb my neighbors. Do people use generators at night? Not sure what the etiquette is.

It varies with each contest whether a generator is allowed after 11 pm.

Also depends on model - the Honda's are pretty quiet. You also could get one of those heater attachments that go on a propane tank to use for a heater if worried about too cold
