UDS intake question

For those of you that have used the BGE draft door for your intake, what size hole did you cut in the drum for the opening. I just ordered one for med/lg BGE and wanted to cut the hole and burn my drum so I will be ready to smoke when the door comes in. Thanks

I've never done this - but it seems you might be able to visit a BGE of that size and take a quick measurement of the door - and then cut your drum's door to the same dimensions . . . just a thought -
