Try adding some Epsom Salt to your water a couple or three times during the growing season. It will help with the skin cracking and also give you meatier flesh. Good for all types of peppers, bell, banana, cayennes...

but, i want them to scar because it makes them hotter. those two are on an egg with two pork butts right now. :biggrin:
 
Are you making ABT's? Nice shots!

i was going to smoke those whole for a while, then chop them up and add to some "ancient sweets, mysteriously sweet long peppers" from sam's and add some pulled pork and smoke those for awhile, maybe wrap a couple in bacon. :biggrin:

Pulling the moisture from them when they start to mature increases the heat in the pepper.
