hello everyone ive got a top roiund roast i am planning to soak it in itallian dr5essing for couple of days then smoking to it of 140 and slice across grain somebody tell me this will work or how stupid i am thanks:confused:

thanks for the reply if i marrinade it couple days would it get mushy mess up the tecture of the meat im new to smoking havent really soaked anything to make tender your input is appreciated thanks

Top round usually has some fat content, which is nice. I like to marinate them overnight, then cook indirect to 135. At this point I'll move it to direct for the reverse sear, about 5 min per side.

i smoked the top round to 140 soaked it in italian dressing for day and a half just got through eating it i was suprised at how tender it saw and tasted good also i think ill do this again thanks for the help
