Brothers. I had a great New York Strip and a filet all set for dinner tonight. Since there was a foot of snow between my kitchen and the gasser, I decided to do this inhouse. I used a stove top grill. Once the smoke alarms started blaring and the critters were all running for sanctuary, I realized I should have shoveled a path to the gasser. Steaks were mediocre at best, and the house still smells like, well you know, not good. Talk about humble pie.
 
I've thought of trying the Iron Chef style oven/stovetop smoker myself. Then I look up and see the smoke alarm, which reminds me of my ex's style of cooking...

With below zero temps and a couple ot three feet of show out there, I am tempted to pull the batteries for a bit, though....
