Smoked with my Smoke (and the M1)

So I decided to use my Smoke Gateway today while making some smoked chicken.

Loaded up the M1 with some lump and a split (in the fire box only) with all vents wide open. The M1 can really bring the heat on as you can see.

I had Travis cut a port in the firebox for a BBQ Guru and I installed the universal bulkhead adapter but the cooker runs so well that I haven't had a need to actually purchase the unit.

Even though I only used it for a short cook I really liked it. The spike happened when I opened the lid to check on it. I enjoyed be able to just use my phone to check the temps.

Good looking bird :hungry: I like my gateway too but honestly haven't it that much :twitch:

Thank you. The main advantage it gave me was greater distance/range to monitor pit temps.
