I saw someone had an electric Cambro last weekend at a competition, was curoius if anyone knew if that would be against KCBS rules?

Just for the record, I didn't see if it was plugged in, nor did I see any meat go in or out of it.

Nevermind, Answered my own question. Should have looked before I asked.

"Fires shall be of wood, wood pellets or charcoal. Gas and
electric heat sources shall not be permitted for cooking or
holding."

Cool... You could use the heated door to preheat the Cambro, but once the food goes in it would have to be disconnected.

I saw a guy have one at a comp this year. First thing I did was look to see if it was plugged in when he put his food in. It wasn't. I think he did what Ron said. He heated it up and then unplugged it before he placed his meat in.
