I recommend lump. It burns cleaner and is cheaper than briquettes for me.

Kingsfodr blue bag for me. I also purchased the larger ring from cajun bandit and have never had a problem getting it to cook 16-18 hours with a 75% full load. At a comp, I can start it, sleep a bit and then get up and cook without having to worry about needing to add more coals toward the end. Before the larger ring, I would add coals through the door (carefully).
