He's saying if the bottom of the drum sits directly on the ground or a solid surface for long periods of time, then it is prone to rust.

Yes, this is what I meant. But since the Gateway comes with wheels, you don’t have to worry about the drum sitting directly on the ground. When I initially suggested to put the 2X4’s underneath it, that was before I realized it had wheels. Basically the wheels are doing the same thing the 2X4’s would’ve done...keep the bottom of the drum from sitting directly on the ground.
