They must be hurting. I haven't used them in years but I keep getting their notices. I just got my third one.
told them where to go and then they notified me it was a computer doing it. I deleted it. Phark em.

Well...this is Pharked up!
I noticed it only a few days ago when searching an old thread of mine and I just saw this thread.
Must say I'm quite bummed about the whole situation.
Last couple of years I copy/pasted my pics from Facebook to the Brethren site...worked quite well and my account is on private/friends only.
Recently I bought a new PC monitor which is huge....now I got the problem when I copy/paste from Facebook the pics turn up mega big.
Has anyone got a solution for this?

I use this.

im not sure why, but my photos still show up.. I have an old paid "plus20" Account. Maybe grandfathered in?? are you folks seeing the photo I posted above?

Is that the custom built Shirley aka "Abrams" in the pic? Really fine looking pit.

I just got an exclusive offer via e-mail for their Plus 500 Plan from Photobucket!

"You Spoke, We Listened.
Photobucket is now offering a monthly plan"

Wow!!!!

but.. if its set to private, can you embed the image in other places for public viewing?

In a word, Yes.

Also has an auto resize feature I've been using b4 upload. This is the 17" size:

Going to try uploading 19" sizes.

Just to make sure, this is Imgur registered free I'm referencing.

I'm finding that the 17" size 1024px works best for me. If it's wider than that, it extends off the edge of the screen if the uploader has an Avatar.

With the Imgur mobile app can you set it to always resize your pics or do tou have to do it each time When I first had this the pics I posted were always too large

Hey Guys and Gals, if you were a Photobucket user with a Plus 20, 50 or 100 account that was in good standing on June 1st, you will still get 3rd party hosting until December 31st 2018. It's my understanding that the free accounts are the ones they are ones they are dropping the hosting on now.

This is still not good news, but it gives a little breathing room for backing up your Photobucket photos and moving them to another host.

Last spring, I paid to go ad free. It was a big improvement. Still have 3rd party hosting & it looks like I'll be good until Dec 31, 2018.

Am in the process of jumping ship. I'm liking Imgur, for now.

OK, waited for some of the dust to settle, then signed up for Imgur. I uploaded a test pic, but I can't seem to find the correct way to link the image so it shows up without clicking on a link. When I select the HTML option (the only one that doesn't show up as a link) it shows the code, and not the pic? Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance...

In Imgur, you want to copy the code called "direct link" and then paste that in the pop-up box that shows up when you click on the yellow photo icon in the toolbar.

I have the direct link. I don't see a tool bar to copy and paste it to for the yellow photo icon?

The yellow icon is in the Brethren Forum toolbar. So, click on the "post reply" button and you get the text screen you use to type into. At the top of the screen you have toolbar options like font color, bold, italic & underline, bullets, linking text etc... and one yellow icon with a mountain and the sun in it which is the "insert image" icon. When clicking that icon a box opens that asks for the url of your image. Mouse over to it and paste the direct link code from Imgur into the blank line and hit "ok" and the photo will appear in the text screen.
