Yesterday Padawan picked me up and went for the wholesalestores.
We walked away with a 53cm long pork loin and some of Belgians Phinest beers.

For starters we had Shrimps with Shrooms and a bacon yoghurt sauce.

Main course pork loin,risotto and d'haricots verts with goatcheese.

Dessert was banana pineapple mousse with smoked strawberry sauce...unPhortunatly we Phorgot to smoke the banana Phirst.

APhter we were done with our Phriday session we cooked up 2 porknecks.
Padawan's SIL requested one porkneck so we cooked up two...Padawan had her Phamily over for dinner.

We used the dying coals from the Red Devlin and dropped it in Padawan's Midi UDS to get it started.
APhter 2 hours monitoring the temp we went to sleep for about 9 hours...looked like the Midi UDS was smoking away at about 180F the whole night with only the ball valve open.

In total the porknecks had smoked for about 14-15 hours.
One was smoked with BigMista's PerPhect Pork rub and the other one was rubbed with Plowboys Bovine Bold.

HopePhully Padawan is gonna post the rest of the pulled pork later on or tomorrow.

We also cooked up a batch of rhubarb BBQ sauce...Padawan scored the last big box that was on sale at the wholesalestore.

I still can't figure out why you and Padawan don't weigh 300 pounds.

The shrimps look good. Where do your shrimp come from? Texas Gulf shrimp are easily available here, but you still have to ask at the store.

Ain't it the truth. Americans eat like that and we get fatter than cows while disgusting the French in the process (fat American pigs). That's almost as bad as it was when Bush defied them and attacked Iraq.

It ain't fair.
 
they don't eat it, just take purty pictures to mess with us. they are both vegans. is that what you call pigs in a blanket ?
 
Shout out for the risotto brother and sister!!!
Your food is always great , the pork looks excellent and juicy but that risotto deserves a hearty yell of approval!
A few years ago I and TFO went in to a prestigious snobby winery for lunch.
I ordered duck and lemon risotto, huge price!
The risotto was a bowl upturned of dry yellow rice.
We took one look at it and walked, and we are sympathetic restaurant patrons!!
I'd happily lay that money down for the meal you guys served up!:thumb:

We haven't made risotto alot...about 2 years ago we made a paella dish with risotto rice and last week Padawan made a risotto dish.
Gotta say this was off the hook good!
I love that creamy goodness...gonna make this more often!
Padawan has to take credit for this one!:cool:
