If I worried about all this bad cast iron cookware crap I would surely starve to death. What's next lead in charcoal grates? How about cows chewing on old lead pipes? Or lead in the paint on old barns? Jeeeeez!

Lead can pose serious health risk, mostly for children. The effects of lead poison can cause them permanent damage. Flint has lead in their municipal water, its a big deal. The epa requires contractors renovating that old lead paint barn or replacing window with lead paint or any work involving lead paint to be trained and certified in lead safe practices. While that particular law is overreaching and excessive the concept is sound, we should not intentionally leave lead lying around to poison children.
