I bought a SUPER FAST SUPER ACCURATE FIRE ENGINE RED THERMAPEN!!!! Not that I am excited...hehe I will let you all know when I get it! I can not wait to update my signature!

Isn't the red one the one that usually comes broken? :-D Now if you had the ORANGE thermapen you would be all set.

Sorry to hear you got stuck with a red pen, if you want the finely calibrated Green pen you usually have to put in a special request. I wouldn't be too concerned about using the Red pen on Hotdogs, Bologna or Spam. However on finer cuts of meat I would only trust the accuracy and precision of the Green pen.
