I couldn't pass up the deal I got on this Traeger. Now I need some help. Can anyone identify the model? I will need to find a manual & probably parts for it.

I think I may be in for a repair on this one, either that or it's operator error. I vacuumed out the pots. When I plug it in, the augers start, moves pellets into the pots and the pellets smoke for a little bit. Eventually the pellets fill up the pots and no more smoke. It's also not heating up. There are two fans on the bottom side that never come on.

Nice setup! Definitely sounds like you need to replace the fans. Based on what you are describing, it sounds like everything is working.

If it's not heating up, doesn't the igniter need replacing, as well? That's a pretty cool looking Traeger.

EDIT: Never mind. I only saw "it's not heating up" and missed the initial smoke. Still, might not be bad to swap it out anyway.

Wouldn’t be a bad idea at all to swap out igniters.

Hot rods are designed to heat for roughly 4 minutes. If the fans are not running, could be the fuse behind the controller or try to spin them to see if they are locked up.

I could be wrong, but that looks like an old US made Traeger XL that was mounted to an after-market trailer.

It is a roll top. No Smoke stacks, just vented across the back. It is about 50" wide.

Replaced the induction fans, auger motors, fire pots and rods. By the looks of them, it was time. Fired it up and it got up to heat quickly, then rose to 425-450. From what I’ve read, probably need to replace the controller as well.

Any recommendations? I would like it to have WiFi, but not a dealbreaker. Not tied to Traeger branded either.

Had a pork lion in the fridge, decided since the controller had a mind of its own ( 425 when set at 250) was a perfect temp, to cook it.

Looks like you nailed one prob to discover another. That's the way it works. Yes new controller and looks like you have close to a new rig. Also give those trailer bearing some grease love.

Good Luck!
