Well, I'm getting my first injection kit. I plan on using it on chicken and pork butts first. I was wondering if there were any tips or suggestions for a first timer? Any recipes I should try out? Thanks.
 
Look up Chris Lilly's recipe. I suggest keeping it simple at first and work from there.

Something as simple as apple juice and worchestershire to start with, perhaps a little of your rub to tie in the flavors...
 
I inject butts with a mixture of apple juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and Salt. There is no measurement ,just do by looks. Just started injecting this year and results are unbelievable.
