So I have started my first mods to the smoker I acquired a few months back. The smoke stack was actually on top of the warmer box so the smoke was being forced through 3 3" holes into the warmer box then out smoke stack. So this weekend I added a 24" 5". Diameter stack to the cooking chamber. I made a damper from main chamber to the warmer box to control the heat. We fired it up today and found the main chamber was burning extremely Hot. What we figured out was we didn't need nearly the same size fire as before do to not having to keep the Warmer box wide open as it was designed before.
