what size would everyone recomend I make this, someone mentioned a 4ft x 8ft is way overkill and harder to maintain temps
 
meatsmokin, depends on what you are going to cook... 4x4x4 would be plenty of room to do a whole pig, but way too cook dinner every night... you can always add space later and add layers of racks for more capacity if needed...
