Just smoke a brisket yesterday with butcher bbq and must say I was very pleased. I only injected the flat of the brisket since it is usually drier. It came out better then it ever has. I diluted the injection a little more then what the package recommends but I thought it was perfect.

I like it best as you described as well, about 50% more water than they call for, but I really like the results.
