• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I just received an Amazon gift card from my work. What are some absolute must try rubs or sauces that I can get on the site? I love the mixture of smoking guns hot and bovine bold on beef, but I want to try something new. It doesn't have to be a beef rub either, it can be pork or chicken too.

I also know people always say to try blue hog for sauce, but I haven't heard about many others. So what do you think are the best commercially available sauces and rubs for purchase?

If you haven't tried blues hog, definitely get that one. Looks like oakridge rubs are available there as well. I really like the secret weapon and dominator rubs. If you like spicy, try the Habanero death dust.

Oak Ridge Dominator is by far my favorite rub. Yes Dear Red Sauce is a new favorite for pulled pork. I too want to try some new sauces. I use a lot of Blues Hog sauces as well as some Sweet Baby Ray's and Bullseye.

If you'd like to get a variety of rubs and sauces (usually commercial) from different areas of the country, the best place to do so is by joining the trading club here!

.

Dreamland is another commercial sauce that is pretty good to try. Not sure if its on Amazon though

Alright I'll be getting Blue Hog for sure. The Dominator is a rib rub right? I'd imagine that it would go well on pork butt as well.

Seems like Oakridge gets all the praise around here lol. Time to try it.

The main reason that the Dominator has become my new favorite rub is exactly because it is so good on pork, any pork. My first cook with it was on a 10 pound butt. My wife said it was the best BBQ I had ever made. Then I tried it on ribs. Oh yeah, Oak Ridge is some quality goodness.

Oakridge Black Ops is available there too. Great Brisket rub!

Anybody that tries this will LOVE IT!

Oakridge makes fantastic stuff. My family digs Head Country sauce. Put that on your list for next time! :thumb:
