Whats your Mt Rushmore, or top 4, of bbq sides?

Any side dish, not meat, alcohol or appetizers. Your own definition of BBQ. Rank them if you want to


Heres mine in no particular order

Mac & cheese
Potato salad
Coleslaw
Cornbread

Honorable mention: baked beans
 
Beans
Mac and cheese
Cornbread
Sauteed kale with garlic and a little drizzle of sour cream made into a light sauce

Honorable mention: grilled asparagus with olive oil and parmesan
 
About the only side I do anymore is Keri's Hog Apple beans when I'm having a party as I learned I had to simplify the cook and focus on meats. Everybody else brings sides and I'll eat whatever's there, but yeah, slaw, tater salad, mac n cheese along with beans are pretty much the tops. I wish I had deviled eggs more often, but I'd say the previous 4 mentioned would be my Mt Rushmore of sides.

Oh chit - :doh: - collards has to be in there somewhere...you said 5, right? and biscuits - you said no more than 8, right? cornbread, chips and salsa, tater chips...

missing - PASTA SALAD.
I use elbow noodles, great olives, sprigs of brocolli, feta -
you can make it TASTY! Mushrooms......onions thin...
Mayo, EVOO, Red wine vinegar, raw spinach leaves...
a little sugar and a lot of Pepper at the end......
burnt red pepper.... you know what I mean..

I use elbow noodles, great olives, sprigs of brocolli, feta -
you can make it TASTY! Mushrooms......onions thin...

a little sugar and a lot of Pepper at the end......

I want this too
It's cheap to make.
2 pounds cooked pasta will yield (assuming you include bunch of
add -ins)
30- 40 2 oz servings. People take smaller amounts of pasta salad.
They heap on potato salad and mac and cheese.
ADD Oil (or I use Spicy Italian), olives, sliced avacados,
chips of celery, and I had Romaine.... a sleeve as a base....
