La is pretty decent but I’ve experienced dead crawfish a couple times. I switched to cajuncrawfish.com and they’re on the money. Larger ones are available too

To the OP, I don't think you can go wrong either way. Price shop them both.



Pro tip, Do not ever eat a crawdad with a straight tail. It means they were dead before they hit the boil.

Similar experience with the Louisiana Crawfish Company as someone else posted. Have ordered from them 4 times, 3 good and 1 time had the majority dead upon opening (and they refused to do anything about it).

I used to be a buyer for a seafood wholesaler. Here's an insider tip: Don't spend extra for "Selects" or "Extra Large". Get mediums.

WHile large ones look good, a crawfish's head grows faster and larger than its tail. Mediums have a greater meat-to-shell ratio.

Can respect that article but disagree with it. We were talking about shipped crawfish not fresh ones from the bayou.
