The grocery store had leg quarters on sale so I picked up 6lbs. Just trimmed them up and used a little rub before putting them on. The skin would never be described as bite-through, but they were juicy and the flavor was great.

I'm really liking this drum, best $30.00 I've spent in a long time.

Looks really tasty Burk! Chicken on the drum is one of my favorites.

Thanks Jeanie.

I had some trouble keeping the temps. up yesterday. We had some strong winds, so I'm not sure if it was that or my coal starting. I ended up with all 3 holes open to get 300 by the end of the cook.

Boy you guys with the drums put out some great looking bbq!

They seem to be pretty idiot proof (at least for this idiot). I tried some odds and ends pork ribs, asparagus, and some paper thin pork chops tonight. Some of the smaller ribs and the chops were pretty well done, but nothing was overly dry or tough.

I do think if I make another it's going to have an exercise bike or treadmill mod. This thing is going to be tough on my weight and cholesterol levels .
