Anybody own or use a Red Box smoker? Seen one in a video the other day and thinking it might be a perfect little smoker. I am looking for a new smoker, don’t know what I want, looking at an electric or some kind of cabinet smoker. Thing I like about this Red Box is it looks easy to clean and small and compact. Would love to have an Old Hickory, but don’t have the room.

I have one. Used it about a dozen times.
I use it for wings and dry brine salmon. Pretty much dedicated it to the fish smoking now.
IMO, I wouldn't use it as my only primary smoker. Has some firebox issues, minimal space, etc.

That’s what I was wondering about, how it cooks with ribs and butts, if you could even do a butt in it?. That firebox looks small, does not look like you could do an all day cook with it. Thanks.

A small butt would fit in it. Tricky to keep the temps constant for a long smoke. I know a few others have one on this forum. And I think they've done some firebox mods and smoked ribs, etc. on it.

It's a side smoker for me. Once I did salmon in it a few times, you can't get the smell out. So, it's my fish smoker, it's perfect for that.

And, it's not worth the $400+ asking price IMO, it's about a $300 smoker, maybe.

It's a cute as a bug. But there's just not enough real estate- this coming from someone who believes "bigger is not always better". Love to have one- but not at that $ and not if it was going to be my main smoker. For that money, I'd look at CL for a used 18 or 22 wsm on the cheap and maybe swing for a temp controller (if you think it's needed)

I have one and for a small family it will work. I will say that i bought mine as soon as they came out and they have improved them a little. I would have bought the smallest Humphrey's or the 3400 if it was available at that time. The mods i made to mine allow me to cook much longer cooks than stock. Doesn't use much fuel at all. Only thing i can't cook on it is a full packer.
