• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I'm trying these beans tomorrow and was wondering do you drain the sauce out of the bush beans or use the sauce.

I prefer to drain half of the liquid out, but that's because that is the way we like them.

Try them the normal way then you can adjust the liquid to your liking.

I don't, I like to cook them down with it in.

I drain about 1/2 of it - like my beans thicker. You really can't go wrong either way.

I don't drain, but they sit in the smoker all day, so there is some evaporation happening - which is usually replaced by whatever is on the grate above 'em dripping into them.

We don't drain any of the bean juice. We do chop the apples a bit, though. It's a great recipe, we haven't had a negative review yet.

I drain and rinse. The apple pie filling and blues hog add plenty of fluid.

Hog Apple beans are a way of life! Lol. I don't follow the recipe exact, but the essentials are always there.
