I stop injecting several years ago, now I cut several holes in top of meat , fill them with whatever i'm using seem to work better and easy
 
i have the bayou classic as well, it's heavy duty and sturdy. works fine for me other than sometimes getting clogged, but after 2 or 3 uses you figure out how to use it without clogging.
