USDA Choice Market Trimmed Brisket are $1.58# cross town. May get one and play with a Garlic butter injection I found BOGO. Green chile/hamburger something. Need to eat more fish so a can or two of King Oscar will be breakfast.
Always strive for no flour no sugar no processed but I’m human and fail at times.
Happy Friday, Pholks! Might pick up a brisket but not cook it this weekend. Probably just do some steaks for a Pittsburgh steak salad (Pittsburgh salad=with fries).
I just picked up a 13.5lb prime brisket for $47. This will be my first brisket cook on my Shirley so I'm pretty excited. I also have a 5lb chub of country style bologna and about 4lbs of garlic sausages. 3 day weekend for me and it's gonna be fun. Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Yanks!
Happy Phryday Pholks!
Tonight is bleu cheese hatch chili smashburgers on the BS.
Tomorrow is twice smoked ham on the kettle and Sunday wil be either pork belly or spares on the ophset.
Have a great and saphe weekend Y'all!
It’s hot as Hades this weekend, so wimped out on a long cook. 79 cents/lb chicken leg quarters made the decision for me. Going to load up a rack on the Blaz’n tomorrow.
Huli Huli chicken with grilled pineapple tonight. Tomorrow, about 4-5am will put a 10lb butt on the smoker. That will be with smoked Mac and Cheese, Cornbread and cole slaw.
Happy Celebration of The Birth of this Great Republic!
My wife's family always had a fish fry for the 4th so having the in laws over for fried crappie and shrimp. Gonna also make some homemade peach ice cream (another tradition).
Brisket on the offset, ribs in the drum, pork butt on the kamado, and a pineapple on the kettle rotisserie. Probably stupid to do all of the meats on different cookers, but it should be fun anyways.
The Minister got a slab of baby back this morning so they're on the drum right now. Sides will be my Mum's cucumber salad, mustard potato salad and cabbage pancake.
