I Deep fried a turkey in the snow once. Had to move it to the car port because it was so cold. The wife gave me a six pack, a fifth of whiskey, and a fire extinguisher and told me to sit and watch.

Not sure why, but smoking in the snow is one of my favorite pastimes. Glad it it was successful for you!
