I needed a bunch of fresh ground pepper for a rub. After getting only a 1/3 a cup I decided doing it by hand sucked and was horrible. So I decided to grind my pepper another way.

Check out the video of what I did to grind my pepper!

I forgot to mention that if you decide to do this you'll want to pull up on the drill while you hold the grinder. This will create the tension needed to pull the grinding mechanism up for a finer grind. Otherwise, you will end up with big pepper chunks!

I saw this on Good Eats where Alton Brown had rigged up a pepper mill to a drill.

Great idea for sure.

No smoke out of the grinder? :p

I did a few spoons today by hand phew
