Drumsticks and the air fryer

Tonight I'm planning on cooking some drumsticks in my air fryer. I've not cooked anything where I need to put any sauce on them when finished in the air fryer before. Is it OK to sauce them and then stick them back in the air fryer or should I heat up the broiler in the oven to finish them off?
