Not an entry but I may have to dust off my chourico grill for this one. :becky:

For my official Chourico entry, I decided to make Chourico e pimenta.

The players.

The chourico on the grill for some quick color.

And into the dutch oven they go, 2 lbs chourico, 2 sweet onions, 2 red bell peppers, 5 cloves of garlic, 1 cup cheap red wine, 1 cup H2O, 2 tbs crushed red pepper and S&P.

And on the WSMaCrock at 235 then bumped up to 275.

While the WSMaCrock was doing its thing I decided a chourico sandwich between morning and afternoon games would hit the spot. So I broke out my gasser.

And the tasty morsels ready to dive into a bun.

After about 6 hours things were looking good I removed the lid to reduce the liquid down a bit.

And the payoff.

Chourico and peppers is great over rice or in a sandwich, after I devoured my rice plate I made and killed a sandwich. I didn't take a picture of the sandwich but trust me I did and it was amazing. Thanks for looking. :thumb:
