• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Hey Guys,

I am curious as how ones gets started in the BBQ circuit. Any tips or recommendations would be awesome.

Also a great way is to find a local team and offer to help them do a comp. 'pittbitch' is common term for it. You'll basically do whatever odd stuff they need done, but it will give you great on hand experience and a real feel for the pace of a competition.

All great suggestions, but the best bang for the buck initially is to find an experienced team and pitch in for a contest.

Take a class offered by one of BBQ's superstars (Mike Davis, Chris Lilly, Myron Mixon, Johnny Trigg & Rod Gray, Dr. BBQ, Paul Kirk, etc). It will cut your competition learning curve by years! Well worth the money!
