I have a pair of banderas that need cleaning. I normally just scrape the bottom of the smokebox out and wipe with oil and sweep the ashes out of the fire box. The smokebox is starting to build up a thick layer in some spots that i can;t get very well. Was thinking of pressure washing and re seasoning them this weekend. Is that a good idea, or should i just try to scrape real good again?

Yep. Don't just scrape it and use it. As I discovered (flaming meat loaf and crispy fatties mod) you will only expose a layer of flammable grease!

It just depends on how ambitious you are. Scraping will be quick and no reason to re-season. Power washing will be messy and require a re-season.
