Do we have to buy everything at Fareway or just 1 category? Can we use Fareways this way or does it need to be the Minnesota Fareway?

You can pick and choose as you wish about what you buy. We will verify with meat labels or if you have repackaged with cash register tape that you have in fact bought that category of meat from Fareway. Every category we verify makes you eligible for the extra challenge money in that category. Each category is separate.

The Fareway Foods Challenge is an extra, beyond our payout, $ 500 for
all four categories: chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket to the category winner
but only if they bought that meat at Fareway Foods.

Any Fareway Store is good. I double checked that today.

That was the case on day two of Smokin' at the Run in Miami, OK earlier this year as well. Horrible weather, amazing scores. I have no real evidence, but I think that the weather makes people pay exponentially more attention to their cook.

All I know is that a stellar field of cooks turned in entries that were judged
by a fair and consistent panel of judges and had great scores.

Congrats to all.

Every cook battled steady 30 mph east winds all Friday night and Saturday

and a downpour at 8:30 Sunday morning. That is a good test for anybody.
