Brisket Getting Scarce And Prices Climbing.

It's over $7 per lb here for Prime. I really want to do a brisket again...but wouldn't buy it for $4...so why buy it when it's almost double that?


Pork butts and chicken are plentiful + cheap.

North Central IN/Southern MI:

Bought two-pack butts today for $.88/lb (Shelton's in Niles)
And Prime brisket at Costco was $5.99/lb.

Not terrible on the brisket, wish I had more room for butts but could only grab one pack. They had a ton this afternoon but people were buying it up quick.

here in southern AZ, choice brisket packers are $6 a pound and pork butts at $2. I picked up a 9 lb. butt, but had to pass on the brisket.
