Got a late start today. Don't care much. It is a long deserved weekend. It will done when it is done. Food not on the cooker till 9:40 this morning.

Smoking a 15 pound brisket, seasoned with SPOG, and large bone in 11.5 pound butt seasoned with Slap Ya Mama Cajun rub. Smoking with cherry splits on the Shirley pitt. No particular cooking temp. Just wherever it wants to run.

Will have updates throughout this grass cutting and college football day.

The brisket took about 7 hours. The butt took about 8.5 hours.

These are pics right before I wrapped them to rest in cooler.

Will have sliced and pulled pics. later.

I think these are looking better than LSU's offense.

All done, sliced, pulled, vacuumed sealed and in the freezer. It was a good cook.

Brisket-nice bark, pic makes it look dry, but it was far from dry.

Pork Butt-Very moist and great bark. First time using Slap Ya Mama rub. It is very good except a little to salty for me.
