I know I am in the zone when I have just a little smoke or even " no smoke " coming out of my uds or wsm.

I don't think you can get blue smoke without a stick burner.

I agree, thats the sign for me that this bad boy is running well and to leave it the fark alone!

I get a thin blue smoke in the beginning, it's from the chuncks tho.

One way to get blue smoke put pure oxygen in box

So if I'm reading correctly, I can control the oxygen flow with my vents and maybe get blue smoke that way?

*Laughing* Ain't heard that phrase in awhile. I was a Machinist's Mate on a carrier. But I've been in and around boilers too.
