My Large BGE gets a load of use and through normal wear and tear
the exterior finish of the egg has developed spider lines. There is
nothing wrong with the egg but I was wondering if you guys do anything
special to the green exterior finish to keep your Eggs looking as clean and new as possible. I called the customer service line and left a message but thought I would
check with you guys also.

Thanks for the help

My understanding is the spider cracks are a normal aging process of the Ceramics. On a side note though, mine has not developed any yet.

Right or wrong I keep my exterior clean by using Windex.

I have the same thing on my large. She's under a cover also?

Let me know what the mother ship's response is!

The Mother ship called me back and said that the spider web appearance is a function on normal wear and tear on the Egg. Nothing can or should be done about it. Bruce from customer service said that if needed, the Egg can be washed down with a mild solution of dish soap and water. Other then that there is nothing they suggest.

Mine is getting close to 2 years old and no spider lines. But I do not keep mine outside in the elements. Its in the garage where its dry.
