I almost always do my abt's on skewers (although I only use one, not the double skewer). I find it easier to handle this say for skewering and cooking. Then before serving I'll take a (clean) side cutting pliers (aka wire cutters) and cut the skewers apart for individual abt's
 
Those are some DAMN LOOKIN' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD TURDS. Congrats on the win. How do you get them to like that? Oh Well back to the smoker :-D
