Some elves just dumped a bed full of avocado wood in my truck. How long does it take these to cure?

Ross_in_Ventura use avocado wood in a lot of his cooks.
To season it leave it out to air, but covered from the weather for at least 6 months I would guess, unless it is already dead and dried out....
