This is what I call the "Last of everything" breakfast when camping. I use the last of ingredients in the dutch oven and let it cook while I pack to go home.
I layered hash browns, scallions, and onions...
some leftover tri tip from the night before...
flour and seasonings...
more tatoes, cheese and tri tip...
topped with the last of the cheese....
filled the pot almost to the top with milk.
Made a lattice with the last of the bacon...
Sprinkled with cracked black pepper and called er good.
Only needed a few hot coals so a couple of logs did the trick.
Busted up a log and added a shovel full of hot coals to the oven and let it go...
started packing...
the breakfast goods and fishing poles are the last to go into the truck.
Takes 20 to 30 minutes and breakfast is ready...
I let it cool down a bit, it's like molten lava. lol
A bit of fruit and green stuff to make it look healthy and breakfast is ready!
It's not a fancy meal... I use what ever left overs I find in the cooler, sometimes it's venison or steak but it always seems to taste good on that last morning.
Thanks for looking!
