The WSM and UDS are both top access and loved by millions...


They are both top access with one big difference. I have never had to access my uds during a cook to tend the fire, only when loading new fuel and lighting it up. But with the wsm I had to tend it a few times. Plus being an old fat man I find it hard to adjust the intakes on the wsm because I can't see what I am doing down there, as apposed to the uds with one intake on a riser.

So in conclusion I would take 50.00 buck more or less and build the uds, that leaves 350.00 for meat, beer even a contest if one was so inclined. I wonder what he is cooking on at this time?
