We usually put a bit of oil onto the steaks prior to seasoning them and it seems to prevent the meat from sticking to the Grill Grates. When the oiling is skipped, sometimes there is a slight sticking problem, but leaving the meat on just a bit more seems to allow it to "release" from the grates.
Even with the oil, a nice crust forms.
