Brethren!
The 4th annual Carnivore Cook-off will be held May 3-4, 2013 at the Knights of Columbus #6269 hall, 2625 Cooper St. Arlington, TX 76015.
This is the 1st year that this competition is sanctioned by the IBCA. The event will benefit Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fort Worth and other local K of C charities.
Competitors will compete in Brisket, Ribs, Chicken, Beef Fajitas and Jackpot Beans.
They're looking for Judges and cook teams, and the public is welcome. There will be live music by Texas Red Dirt singer/songwriter Jason Crabtree, bounce houses for the kids, face painting, raffle items, a bake sales, etc. All to raise funds for local people who could use the help.
They're limited to 40 teams, so first come first serve! There are spots available with electric and water.
Awards for the top 5 in each category, with cash going to 1st place in each category.
My brother-in-law Dave is organizing the event, I'm passing along the info to anyone who may be interested. Below is the link to the registration form located on the IBCA website. Hope to see some Brethren out there!
